Elevator Speech Training is operated by its founder, Marc Fest.

From 2007 to 2012, Marc was vice president of communications for the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the world’s leading foundation for innovation in communications and media.

From 2004 to 2006, he served as vice president of communications for the New World Symphony.

Marc is the creator of the MessageHouse.org messaging framework. Since its launch in 2012, thousands of entities have used the framework, including companies like Shell, Deloitte, Heineken, Ikea, Accenture, Kellogg, IBM and Oracle, and the governments of New Zealand, the Netherlands, Singapore, the Philippines, Ghana, and the UK.

His coaching  work is close to Marc’s heart since he had a speech impediment until the age of five, mixing up the consonants “s” and “b”. For example, he would say “bummer dress” instead of “summer dress” (well, at the time he spoke German, so it was “Bommerkleid” vs. “Sommerkleid”).  A speech therapist helped him overcome the issue. Says Marc: “Ever since then the ability to speak clearly, both literally and figuratively, has been special to me.”

Marc does his coaching work entirely by video call and from a remote farm in the Everglades where he lives with his Belgian shepherd dog Zeus. More importantly, Zeus has his own online presence at www.SeeMyDog.com.
